据美嘉导师介绍，肯塔基州是美国中东部的一个州，正式名称为“肯塔基联盟”。其面积104749平方公里，在全美国排名37，而人口在2005年则是4041769，在美国排名第26位。

肯塔基州在美国革命时属弗吉尼亚州一部分，至1792年脱离弗吉尼亚州，成为美国的第十五个州。肯塔基州以纯种马和威士忌闻名。

其中，肯塔基大学在全美公立大学中排名第26位。药剂学院、马丁政策和行政管理学院、医护学院、法学院和医学院的研究生教育均在全美名列前茅。其中，药剂学院全美排名第3，马丁学院在公共财政和预算类中排名第2，法学院位25大公共机构之内，医护学院排名第29。

美嘉导师表示，路易斯维尔大学是一所位于美国肯塔基州路易斯维尔市的研究型州立大学。该大学建立于1798年，当时是美国座市立的公共大学，也是批建立在美国阿勒格尼山脉西边的大学之一。

路易维尔大学的商学院列入靠前的百分之七的商业学院当中。该学院提供传统会计和商业管理的硕士项目，也提供一项把焦点放在创业的独特博士课程。

美国创业与小企业协会将该博士学位命名为2010年中小企业创业博士学位教育的典范。2003年，该学院名列创业杂志(Entrepreneur Magazine)“高级创业大学”当中，评定成为排名第13所。
