城市规划专业（Urban Design and Planning）培养具备城市规划、城市设计等方面的知识，能在城市规划设计、城市规划管理、决策咨询、房地产开发等部门从事城市规划设计与管理，开展城乡道路交通规划、城乡生态规划、园林游憩系统规划，并能参与城乡社会与经济发展规划、区域规划、城乡开发、房地产筹划以及相关政策法规研究等方面工作的城乡规划学科高级工程技术人才。

现在，随着多元化和复杂化的时代的到来，城市规划一定会从一个单一工科类种，甚至单一艺术类种，变成一个复杂学科背景的行业。在英国等发达，城市规划的研究生一个班30多个学生有近30个学科背景，这是在长期的市场与政府磨合的过程中形成的，需要法律背景、社会学背景、经济学背景等各方面的人才。

因此，如果在英国留学读硕士学习城市规划专业，且获得RTPI的证书（英国皇家城市规划协会是英国女王及政府认可并授权的规划师职业组织，参加议会院外活动，向政府提供政策建议，管理职业规划师队伍，制定职业规划师标准及审查颁发皇家规划师资格证书，制定规划师职业资格标准和教育标准，组织对职业规划教育认定工作，制定规划师职业道德准则及执行纪律，制定职业规划继续教育规定并组织培训、监督检查，组织外学术交流，出版刊物，就业指导等等）加上一定的工作实践，那么回国在业界是能找到一个比较好的发展平台的。特别是AA，卡迪夫大学建筑学院等知名建筑院校的毕业生在业界的呼声都是很高的。

1.卡迪夫大学（Cardiff University ）

卡地夫大学(Cardiff University)建筑学院设计的课程既适合有专业背景的也适合没有专业基础的学生。不过大学在录取你之前会与你联系，详细了解你选择跨专业的原因以及学习建筑或者设计的目的。

专业1：Urban and Regional Development (MSc) 专业2：Urban Design (MA)

入学要求：1） Applicants should normally hold a first or second class Honours degree in an appropriate subject. This MSc is suitable for graduates in planning, geography, architecture, engineering or other relevant disciplines, or mid-career professionals working in planning, development or similar fields. The course is appropriate for both international students and UK students interested in urban and regional development.  2）语言：A minimum standard in English language of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent will be required for students whose first language is not English. The UK Border Agency requires minimum sub-scores of IELTS 5.5 across the four competencies of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

2.利物浦大学（University of Liverpool）

利物浦大学(University of Liverpool)建筑学院历史悠久，在英国大学中早开设建筑学专业，也是英国得到皇家建筑师资格认证的学院。并且利物浦大学是个创建城市规划专业的学院。

专业：MSc Urban Planning

入学要求:1）You will normally need to have a Bachelor’s degree (with Honours) at 2:1 level or better in an appropriate field of study. A wide range of subjects is acceptable but please contact us if you wish to check whether your degree subject is suitable.
